@milan Different use cases, IMHO. Matrix is great for group spaces with topical rooms (sort of a "Slack replacement"), but even with lab video rooms enabled it's not a great option for a "messenger"
SimpleX works great for me for casual chats with people I don't really know. A great solution complementary to Signal, with similar features. While on Signal I have family, friends and others I trust my phone number with, on SimpleX, at least in my case, there is no such thing as my "social graph".
