As long as it’s not for Giannis I love this. We desperately needed outside shooting and Dame has shown he steps up big in the playoffs. Expecting a Nuggets/Bucks final now.
Edit:
Trade details:
Lillard goes Milwaukee as part of a 3-team deal with Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected MIL 1st, and unprotected MIL swap rights in 2028 and 2030 to Blazers. Phoenix lands Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.
Losing Jrue hurts their perimeter defense a lot but I think you live with that to get Dame for just Jrue/Allen. The interior defense will still be great and there offense should be much better now on the playoffs. Think it’ll come down to how much you can get from Middleton and just have to hope Lopez doesn’t have a big drop or anything like that.
Really sad to see Jrue go tho, seems like one of the nicest guys in the league so wish him the best.
It definitely makes them more interesting. I think it's entirely possible to slow down a duo if the rest of the roster can't step up, but it's going to take a lot of work at the defensive end.
Yeah it’ll come down to how much they can get from Middleton I think. I don’t expect Brook to fall off much since he had a great year last year and doesn’t rely on athleticism a lot but Middleton did not look good coming back from injury and they’ll need him to decent still if they want to win it all.
I was surprised to see Latvia beat Les Bleus (France), less so their beating the Cedars (Lebanon) - who have a decent squad. Group H was just a really competitive first round group!
The final score doesn’t reflect how dominant Latvia was today against Canada. Latvia showed off their 3-point shooting, as expected. But they also penetrated very effectively, either drive and kick or laying it up at the rim. I think their captain is out for the rest of the tournament, unfortunately.
Kelly Olynyk was key to keeping us in this game the first half, before Shai found his groove in the second half and so did our defence. I believe Lu Dort is scheduled to come back for Friday’s (09:30 ET) game, which is awesome! His defence and size has been missed. Canada’s fell behind at the start of all three games. They’re going to want to tidy that up as the competition picks up! I’d love to see us run some drive and kicks!
he can't be a whole lot worse than most people who choose to interact with twitter as a career.. i mean the kid looked at facebook and said: that's the life for me.. i already don't like him..
There’s no such thing as bad publicity. I used to think that was hyperbole, but after watching the orange guy, the long rat, the nerdy book of faces guy, the puffy lips ladies with a famous lawyer daddy, and a slew of other people outrage themselves to the top, I believe it.
It’s okay to call out your shitty employer, but to promote your own business with the same breath takes away the gravitas of the call out. Makes it seem contrived to build your brand rather than an authentic call out.
Decide whether you want to back Michael Jordan or LeBron James as the GOAT, and then only accept information that supports your stance and ridicule anyone with a differing opinions.
Easily Westbrook if he produces like he did last year. Not even close. While there are better overall value contracts, dollar-per-pound, he is objectively the best $4M ever spent in the league possibly.
Gabe Vincent is the exact guy you want around Lebron if he stays healthy this year and while his defense is subpar, he can be a great 40% 3pt shooter and still has a little bit of on ball talent a well.
I genuanly don’t see how local PD could knowingly not press charges… As peace keepers it is the duty of the PD and state to protect its residents. but that being said hE ReAlLY gOOd aT BaSKeTbalL!
Green is more valuable short-term, he's been there for 11 years of winning. Poole has some upside, if he keeps getting better... But he might NOT get better, in which case he's a decent bench player on a huge contract.
100%, this dude was straight up gassing up the suspension, reminding everyone every game that they didn't want to reveal the suspension to take away from the finals.
In the end it's 25 games. At least it's not retroactively applied like the last suspension?
Seen from a couple sources that despite the social media talk about moving KAT, it’s likely the team will keep him at least another season and see how things shake out.
I have my doubts about KAT but it would be tough to move him for a better player since they don’t have much for assets to include if they want a clear upgrade.
