After moving away from twitter and embracing #Mastodon and #Bluesky, as well as replacing Google Search with DuckDuckGo, and embracing alternatives to Gmail and Google Chrome, I think I'm now ready for the biggest transition yet. I'm seriously thinking of embracing #Linux. Time to embrace #opensource computing and software. Windows doesn't feel right these days. Truthfully, it hasn't felt right for a while.

Reading “A Better Way to A.I.” right now, and gosh, do I love it! Particularly gems like “the worst of autocomplete on steroids” 😀 The six points are spot-on. To me, the most important bit (if I had to name one) would be “AI should not undermine this autonomy for decision making, meaning-making, or agency in the world.”

Especially with all this news coming out today about Amazon ditching its "just walk out" "AI" sensored checkouts at stores, that literally relied upon thousands of Indian workers watching video of American shoppers... yeesh.... We repeat our lessons until we learn them, eh?
