This only applies in #Mastodon. #Misskey and its forks like #Sharkey have #fulltextsearch too and they will ignore your "#privacy setting" for every post it has ever seen from you. And IIRC Misskey did implement full-text search way earlier than Mastodon has started debating about it. :sagume_think:

@mima Probably because of the recent influx of Tumblr users. Though I do despair how these major accounts just give the stock Mastodon spiel as if Masto=Fedi and never explain how other platforms may interact with said settings. Just because Mastodon has a setting doesn't mean ever other Fedi platform has the same or even recognises it, which really should be pointed out.
