The technique of steeking has always fascinated me. 2024 is the year that I will take my scissors and cut a finished pullover to end up with a cardigan. Here I have finished the colorwork section and am about to insert short rows to raise the back. Wish me luck with my first attempt!

@mylastsenbei When I first read about steeking, it sounded really scary. What happens if the stitches unravel? But maybe there's a good technique there somewhere.
@pixiecata Do you knit too? There are a few methods to secure the stitches prior to cutting. I will use the crochet method kasi wala akong sewing machine dito :D It also helps if the yarns are natural wool as the fibers tend to stick together unlike the synthetic yarns.
@mylastsenbei I knit, but the most complicated thing I can do so far is socks. I made a tank top once. Oh, also a blanket shrug. I haven't done anything more complex than that.
