@wendinoakland It is quite thrilling... wondering when it will bloom. Didn't realize they get so tall (also, didn't realize how big the plant was... got it in a tiny 2x2 inch pot, and it's now around 6 feet wide at the base!!)
@ai6yr How amazing! I’m every bit the amateur gardener, but just love the inherent weirdness of plants. We had neighbors who’d brought a tiny banana plant back from Hawaii, popped it into their front yard, and over some years, it grew to about 20’ high! 🤗
@RiaResists@_L1vY_ Agave Americana is definitely edible... The flowers are edible, as are the leaves (if properly prepared). The sap can be used to make sugar, or tequila/mezcal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agave
