I read Peyton Place in 2017 & instantly loved it. I didn’t know there was a sequel until some time after, but it was one of those books I would just never think to put on my search list (maybe b/c there’s 40 million others already on it). I came across this copy of Return to Peyton Place 2 days ago. I was also waiting to find this exact edition, because uh, edition snob. Anyway, I am not a re-reader, but I’m going to make an exception, b/c I can’t wait to dive back in.
Some quick facts: Peyton Place sold 60K copies in 10 days & was on the NYT bestseller list for 59 weeks. The author, Grace Metalious died at 39 from cirrhosis of the liver. #books#photography#peytonplace
