Look. B2B sales is hard. I get it.

But sending an out-of-the-blue meeting invitation to a cold lead is the wrong move, ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT of the time.

Don’t do this. Don’t ever do this.

It’s not chutzpah. It’s not being a go-getter. It is NOT standard practice, either for corporate sales in general or your industry in particular. It is sure as fuck neither taking the initiative nor being proactive.

It’s being an arrogant asshole. Every time.

Also, this whole pattern drives me bonkers (even when they are not insulting you in the process): marketing douche sends a request (watch video/schedule a call/whatever), then follows up to see if you did it, as though you were having a conversation and had agreed to do anything. 🙄
