Here's an project that actually makes sense: tools to attempt to classify damage seen on the ground in with before/after (with clear disclaimer that these need to be checked on the ground -- I believe the machine/human classifiers are having a hard time with intact metal roofs over incinerated buildings). https://satelliteimagerydemostg.z5.web.core.windows.net/damage-assessment/maui_lahaina_8_8_2023.html

Some obvious misses, however. Here's there a black structure which has been incinerated, but because it's still black, they mark it as "undamaged" Looks like was a black greenhouse, covered with shade cloth, and is now ashes.

Same location after
After - showing nothing but ashes
Before, black colored structure

Shade cloth, raised beds, likely a nursery for plants.

This whole neighborhood, btw, I cannot imagine there are not a lot of fatalities here, because with a high wind and power lines coming down, these narrow lanes would be blocked with debris (trees, power lines). If folks here survived, it's a blessing and miracle.
