have a friend who is a disaster engineer with a specialty in tornadoes and hurricanes.
y'all have no idea how many times he has gone to congress to ask for better building codes in "tornado country".
at some point Americans will have to give up on their settler colonialist mentality and reckon that building wooden houses in the Great Plains —where none of that wood comes from—, is a big, HUGE mistake.
