#Ubiquiti never ceases to amaze me with how simple yet powerful it can be. I needed to route specific traffic from a specific device on the local network over a VPN. In #Unifi Dream Machine Pro, the VPN and routing setup was done in 5 minutes and very intuitively. 👌
@bycx I have both Wireguard and OpenVPN set up there now. :) Wireguard is my own VPN with gateway on my server and now I set up NordVPN which I got as part of Revolut Premium.
@bycx I got Dream Machine Pro. It was expensive (10k CZK), but worth the money. Powerful enough to do all kinds of advanced firewalling and routing without degrading the connection speed. The only downside is that 2.5 years ago there was no model with PoE, so I have to have a switch with PoE attached to that. But now there is #UDMP with PoE and that's ideal.
@sesivany I started with UniFi Security Gateway and then switched to second hand UniFi Security Gateway Pro. It was probably outdated even by then. To workaround this issue I have an RaspberryPi in the rack that handles VPN for me. It's slightly more complicated solution but good enough.
