I'm so sick of this bullshit perpetual victimhood narrative. Gideon Falter is all over the news this morning, being interviewed about antisemitism, when he deliberately waited at an intersection for a protest he knew was taking place, in order to provoke a reaction. I doubt the fact that he brought bodyguards and cameramen, and actively refused to be lead up the road where he could cross and be escorted by the Met, is being mentioned AT ALL.

@fkamiah17 He simply wants to stop peace marches protesting against the evil genocide of Israel. And if he really cares about antisemitism he should try and stop Israel bringing Zionism into such disrepute.

@pedestrians1st @fkamiah17 the issue is many Zionists, like him, actually support the actions of the Israeli Gov. They hope to remove Palestinians and all non Jews in any way from their land to create a bigger Israel. They also are sucessfully driving Armenian Christians out of East Jerusalem. Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism. Zionism is a political ideology, much in the same vein you get far right racists saying England should only be for white English.

@fkamiah17

I have been thinking the same.

I think the policeman could have worded it better: "openly' sounds like he's flaunting something that could be hidden, maybe "obviously" would have been better.

But he did seem to be spoiling for a reaction. Perhaps he was hoping to get abuse from the protesters so that he could use that.

@suearcher Falter's got form for this too, he tried it at a demo in December and also got a senior civil servant sacked by lying that they'd made violently antisemitic comments in a gym they both used. The civil servant was later reinstated when the claims were proved false.
I think you're right about the use of "openly" but in the heat of the moment I can forgive it.
