@alan subscribed! I don't use Mastodon or Discord where it looks like a lot of r/TheExpanse folks are heading, I prefer the feel of Lemmy, but it's all good!

I don't know. :) I think if you follow @TheExpanse from a Mastodon instance you will get some kind of notifications, maybe of new threads or something, but I don't think you can follow the full discussions without reading them on #kbin. But I am still figuring it all out myself, too.
@alan@migurski@TheExpanse From what I've read, lemmy instances boost all threads and comments, which can flood your mastodon timeline. Kbin only boosts the initial post, but not comments. I may be entirely wrong on my understanding though.
The only way to know for sure is to get some conversations going, beltalowda.

@Cyberop5@alan@TheExpanse if you search # TheExpanse hashtag on your kbin instance you'll see alan's toot and the url will open from your instance rather than his.
