@renwillis the difficulty varies, but there's at least something for basically every level of sought difficulty. It has a "Safety" story-focused difficulty as well as Easy/Medium/Hard/"Merciless", though confusingly Merciless actually tends to be easier than hard because Merciless doubles all damage dealt, including yours
Why we like it is a big question lol, but we're suckers for a good JRPG in general, and Persona 5 is an extremely, extremely well done one
@renwillis (in our opinion the final boss wasn't nearly hard enough, but we almost always feel that way about JRPG final bosses, and there's always the bonus New Game+ bosses 😉)

I think after Sea Of Stars, I think I'll get back on Bug Fables (my partner is traveling with that Switch) and maybe do an action based RPG like the new Star Ocean before hitting Chained Echoes.
After that, I think I'll be ready for a HUGE long epic like Persona 5 or Octopath Traveler 2!
@renwillis sounds like you got that RPG bug. I personally really enjoyed Dragon Quest XI. If you enjoy Bug Fables though you really need to check out Paper Mario.
A remake of Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is coming to Switch next year, might be the perfect time to try the series out
@OrangeOwl yeah! Love them! Knew about Paper Mario when researching Bug Fables, but if I'm being honest, I'm not a huge fan of the Mario IP. Not sure what it is, but I don't seem to connect to the characters. Paper Mario, Mario RPG, etc. look interesting, but I seem to lean into cute & cozy (bug fables) and pixelated sprites ha!
