@Weru I really like this kind of light hearted track. And the way you used sounds from a different language to give your own meaning is cool too. Did you play the guitar on this?

@c_gurra No, just the (midi) trumpet part. Learning the African Highlife guitar style is on my to do list though.

That's why this one was so quick to do, it's just thrown together to use a few more of the free "Afrobeats Producers" loops I got.

That's my brief dalliance with Afrobeat/Afropop done with now.

@c_gurra Yeah, the whole idea of getting into DAWs was to record guitar songs, and I've ended up going everything but that.

Also, when it comes to the sort of indie songwriting I used to do in bands, I'm not sure if I have the chops to sequence drums that sound like live indie rock or pop drums.

That and the fact that I can't sing have kind of put me off recoding guitar and seen me lean into electro stuff.

That said, I have started on a guitar track.

@Weru I think it's cool when you end up doing different things, it's where you learn the most. But I'm glad you're trying to use guitar.

I'm a super beginner with guitar and I wouldn't be able to make a track based on it, but it turns out to be an amazing sound generator. By manipulating its sound you can come up with a very interesting sound design that works really well in electronic music. And I think that if someone can actually play the instruments, like you, cool things can happen
