There are several levels to this: Self-host, do everything yourself Host machines in a co-lo Use cloud VMs etc. Use a managed service for K8s on Cloud Use a managed platform like #Heroku Most companies would be better off with level 5, because they don't need the power (or complexity) that comes with lower options. I remember when 1 & 2 were the default.
