@matdevdug yes, node maintenance is reduced, but this is offset by complexity elsewhere.
There are several levels to this:

  1. Self-host, do everything yourself
  2. Host machines in a co-lo
  3. Use cloud VMs etc.
  4. Use a managed service for K8s on Cloud
  5. Use a managed platform like #Heroku

Most companies would be better off with level 5, because they don't need the power (or complexity) that comes with lower options.

I remember when 1 & 2 were the default.
