I'm attempting to install #FreeBSD onto my test laptop although it failed last time with some error about the base package after downloading them all. I'm going to write the actual error down this time if it fails. 🙃
@JustineSmithies The rpi-imager or raspberry imager is a perfect tool for USB sticks, choose a custom image and there you go.
never failed me like Unetbootin or the other variants.I recently used Freebsd 13.2 that worked great
@JustineSmithies that would have been an older snapshot (19th October). The lists of files at some download pages can be a bewildering mix, for anyone who's not familiar with the content of each area.
Still, I'm surprised by the checksum failures. Maybe a quirk.
@JustineSmithies 15? Iirc, it is very experimental version, like Linux directly from repository. 😉 I started with the stable version, currently 13. 14 is planned to release in the next week.
