Thanks for all the suggestions, I ended up selecting Vultr, which I had tested before, not as inexpensive as my previous solution, but they seem to be solid and hopefully not leaving me stranded without notice.

Now that everything is back up and working in the new provider, I will be testing some other VPS services in the US South Central, I need IPv4 + IPv6, low latency, and eventually I want to add a pfSense server on the VPS so I can offload some stuff from my homelab more easily than my current setup.

@techviator Many providers give you the option to load your own ISO, will that work? I could probably list a few more if you haven't found something suitable yet.

@techviator I won't expect official FreeBSD support from a lot of/any providers, but look for providers which support installation from custom iso (would you trust prebuilt system image anyway?).

@techviator You could look into https://www.hetzner.com/ They don't seem to offer FreeBSD during VPS setup, but you can easily upload your own ISO & re-install from that via the virtual console. There are CLI solutions using their "hcloud" API access tool as well, e.g. this one. Germany company with datacenters in Germany, Finland & the USA. Regarded very highly & pretty famous here in Germany.
