Desert city of #Dubai flooded.

This wasn't cheap or poorly designed infrastructure, Dubai is too vast and has too many drainage channels for it to be an infrastructure problem

Dubai received over 200mm/9inches of rain in less than 24hrs. That more rain than some monsoons

Dubai is also a DESERT

#ClimateChange is real.

On the other side of the Arabian Sea, #Pakistan is facing currently floods as well

@SiR_GameZaloT I saw a headline that asked if cloud seeding was to blame.

@InayaShujaat conspiracy theorists have been going on about weather modification since the 80s

Was pretty big in Pakistan & middle east (dubai included) back in 2000s

Its baseless. The news orgs are just indulging in clickbait by using it

UAE has been using cloud seeding for the past decade, with mixed to no results.

You would need a fleet of atleast a few thousand or more aircraft flying 24/7 to drop 10,000s of tonnes of salt, and even then it would be a 50-50 shot for such a heavy storm.
