The queens do their make-up in ten minutes without a mirror for the mini-challenge, trying to emulate different animals from the Brazilian Biome. For the maxi-challenge, the queens write and perform their own comedy material as they take the stage to roast each other. On the runway, the category is: Glitter Glam. Comedian Júnior Chicó is guest judge.
Finally queens are given more than 5 minutes for their makeup. I was so happy to see Betina get her second win. She's really pulling through in the competition. I was also surprised to see some rivalry/tense moments between Organzza and Shannon Skarllet.
The roast was fun, but I was very taken aback by Miranda Lebrão's attitude during the roast. When the other girls where doing their thing, she looked so pissed and/or bored, and when she went onstage she did alright, but I got the feeling she really didn't want to be there. If I didn't know any better I'd say something nasty happened behind cameras.
I thought for sure she'd be bottom two, but to my surprise she was safe-high.
I was interesting to see that the girls really didn't like Naza. I think maybe Shannon could be an exception, but I am not even sure. They all roasted her with delight and they even roasted Grag for favoring her. In any case, when Miranda talked trash about Naza in the werkroom no one complained.
The lipsync was crazy. I said on an earilier post it would be a real shame if the only two black contestants do not make it to the finale considering 1) How unrepresented they are in the cast considering the demographics of Brazil, and 2) how sickening both queens are. I was gagged with Grag's decision to leave them both. What a relief.
I think Miranda will be exiting next. Just a gut feeling, but I'm calling it now.
Holy shit. I think that bottom two was correct, but I was still like, “This is a crime, Grag.” I would’ve put Miranda in the bottom three though, not Helena. Bettina deserved that win, no question. What a lip sync. When Grag called Shannon’s name first I was like “You can’t fool me.” Ain’t no way they were sending Organzza home. I thought Ogranzza ate Shannon up in the lip sync too, but Shannon also did well, and I’m happy I get to see more of her. I love this shady, onion-skinned queen
Edit: I just realized I used a literal translation of a Filipino expression. Onion skinned is the opposite of thick skinned: easily offended, can’t take critiques
PS: I liked Naza and found her super charming but listening to the queens say they feel she didn’t take the competition seriously, I get where they’re coming from
As for who’s going next, I think it’ll be Shannon. It seems like all the other queens want the crown more than she does. My top 3 remain unchanged
