Ooh, i've found another issue.. it doesn't inform me on what i've upvoted or not.. so sometimes i end up removing my upvote. A lill annoying but i'm guessing that will get fixed some time later.
Also anyone know what's the diff between the upvote and boost?

edit: now that i think about it, the structure reminds me of the old slashdot, kuro5hin era way of thinking where 'threads' were articles, and boosts were people upvoting the poster of that article, you could upvote articles too to show your support as a form of favoriting. reddit appeared on the scene and switched that around a bit.
thanks for the explanation... i guess in layperson terms this should be some kinda... cross-database sort of architecture hence we can prob fetch content from different hosts and see one another. interesting naming convention.
