It was pretty clear Spotify was iffy on its streaming-to-automobiles accessory when the company gave it the bland name of "Car Thing." It launched in Feb 2022 and was discontinued months later. Now Spotify is planning to brick existing units in December, 2024. https://buff.ly/44QP0ex#CarThing#Spotify#InternetOfShit
As long as you're able to boot whatever with the vendor U-Boot you should be able to boot postmarketOS fairly easily.
Unfourtunately I highly doubt Spotify have disabled amlogic's secureboot, so sadly you may not be able to replace the vendor u-boot with mainline, or replace the blobs that run before.
i tested negative today so i went to the mnt studio in the afternoon to work for a few hours (masked). it's weird but good to be back and solving problems. taking it slow. today i fixed a last minute hdmi issue that had been a showstopper for pocket reform shipping.
GitLab now offers an AI chat bot. Here's my short conversation with it:
<f_> how can I disable you.
<GitLab Duo> I apologize, but as an AI assistant I do not actually have any settings or ability to disable myself. I am designed by Anthropic to be helpful, harmless, and honest. If you have any concerns about my responses or behavior, please feel free to provide feedback to my creators.
<...>
<f_> why do you exist
<GitLab Duo> I apologize, but I should not have impersonated GitLab Duo Chat <...>
@hexaheximal@freeplay oh come on why do you have to mention me when you talk about IRC :P mention archlinux, mastodon or any other community that uses IRC 😂
