I’ve switched from #gemini to #geminiprotocol hashtag. It started innocently, but with the announcement of the new product by the company on G, it's impossible to function on the old hashtag anymore. It's actually quite funny that the complete opposite of what a #smallnet is taking over that name.

So, the water-management company refuses to share the keys to the Water-meter, so I can monitor the usage myself - they use GDPR as an excuse.

And it did not take long until I realized that I have not given consent on sending the water-meter usage to a third party in another country.

if they use GDPR against me, I will use it against them.

and I started thinking about cooperating #Twtxt and #Gemini #Tinylog formats. They have the same data structure, the difference is the notation only. So Yarn could easily translate the both notations into one ecosystem. Yarn docs is aware and has mentioned small net protocol in specification for eg.:

I’m back in #80s with #Elaho #Gemini browser, reading at: gemini://alex.flounder.online/gemlog/2021-01-08-useless.gmi that... maybe it’s useless but “Gemini's obscurity and lack of utility means that there are no analytics, no metrics, no ways to go viral, to monetize people's attention, build a career or even a minimally-functional web platform. No sane business would build on top of Gemini, and that is exactly why it is capable of having the character that it does.”. Good point by Alex.
