shortwavesurfer,

This right here, other than a thread or two, I have not been back since I ditched it last June.

shortwavesurfer,

We should be directing people to Haveno. The more liquidity it has, the more people will use it. And the more people who use it, the more liquidity it will have. It already has over 150 Monero of liquidity at all times.

shortwavesurfer,

The Monero circular economy is really growing. This is going to be an amazing place.

shortwavesurfer,

You know, I’m not quite sure how I feel about this one. I know the music video I found to be odd with the whole press conference about the rats and everything. I found that to be strange. But the song itself was at least alright. I’ll have to listen to it a couple more times, I think.

shortwavesurfer,

The last two Ariana Grande songs I listened to all the time still are 34+35, and positions.

shortwavesurfer,

Booky mcbookface is my go to. It’s an old app and could really use some TLC, but it’s a very good app.

shortwavesurfer,

Sounds like you should install double what you think you need. Reason? The panels will start losing efficiency over time and your electricity usage over time will do nothing but grow. That’s very common.

shortwavesurfer,

I didn’t say they lost half but they lost 20% so you need to have at least 120% today and then you need to account for the fact that you will get more electric devices in the future. How are you going to charge your electric car if you don’t have the electric to do it? So therefore you should probably double it.

shortwavesurfer,

Sure, the usage hasn’t changed on average in about 20 years, but in the next 20 years, it’s definitely going to increase dramatically.

shortwavesurfer,

And when they revised this down to 100,000 in a month or so, nobody will pay any attention.

shortwavesurfer,

Well, if inflation is bad and deflation is bad, why not have a currency with pretty much zero inflation or deflation? Aka, Monero.

shortwavesurfer,

And so many people think that the stock market is a way out of it. It’s not. It helps, but it’s not a way out. The only way out is to stop using their money. You’ve got to cut the problem off at the root and the fundamental issue is their money. You should not use it.

shortwavesurfer,

This was an absolutely fantastic video and I had read the book before seeing this so a lot of what he said in the video I already knew from the book but it was a very good video.

shortwavesurfer,

I think you are right, even if we assume that no Monero is ever lost and that we actually do have a 0.85% inflation rate per year, that would still make it the most stable currency we’ve ever had, even gold inflates at about 1.8% per year, according to the World Gold Council. Also, Monero will keep lowering inflation over time.

shortwavesurfer,

THANK YOU!!! Absolutely nobody seems to get this.

shortwavesurfer,

Pretty sure this is one of those AI hallucinations because I have heard nothing about Kraken in the United States de-listing it. And as far as I’m aware, Binance Global no longer has it. At all.

shortwavesurfer, (edited )

The vast majority of wallets pay the transaction fee as an extra. Automatically. So when you tell it you want to send one Monero, your transaction will actually be something like 1.0003 Monero.

Edit: I know of only two situations when this is not the case. If you tell your wallet you wish to send everything, then it will send everything it can with the transaction fee so you will get slightly less.

As an example of this, if you have one Monero in your wallet and want to send that to another wallet you control and you say to send the max, you will actually get like 0.999 Monero.

The other wallet where you have to pay attention to that is the Haveno exchange wallet as it has options for both including and excluding the fee.

shortwavesurfer,

This looks really nice. I think the traffic reduction by not having to send to inactive group members will be very helpful as I have found that when using simple X over tor, messages can lag like a bitch. It’s bad enough that for now I actually turned it off because there were times when I would receive like a hundred messages all at the same time from like days ago.

shortwavesurfer,

I’ve not had the displeasure of using paper maps in my life, but I can navigate without turn by turn quite easily.

Instagram's unskippable ads test causes outrage among users (www.techspot.com)

Instagram has long been accused of stealing features from platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat, and Twitter/X. It appears that the company has looked to YouTube for its latest idea: unskippable ads that you have to watch for a period of time before being able to scroll further....

shortwavesurfer,

Gotta say, I love the play on words for the username.

Report: T-Mobile’s $10 Connect Plan is No Longer Available (www.tmonews.com)

You know, I’m actually not surprised that one went away. I was kind of expecting it might. Because it seems like it would be a rather unpopular option. Now, if it had had 2000 of everything instead of 1000, that might have been a slightly different story.

shortwavesurfer,

Best guess? Probably because you’re not paying enough.
