#NowWatching Boggy Creek II: and The Legend Continues (1983)

I've been informed this is a Likely Stinker due to the fact it's featured as a MST3K episode.

I am also suspicious based on the fact this 1983 sequel was so long delayed since the 1972 original.

Here we go. This is the last (or maybe second to last) bigfoot movie for me, so I guess we're going out on a low note 😩

This one is remarkable because (if I am not mistaken) it's the very first "bigfoot movie."

I don't actually know if it's good, but being the first is something.

Weekend hobby hacking is off to a decent start.

I found my way to a pragmatic (some values are hard-coded) solution to fixing my Z depth woes.

I'm now setting a CurrentLayer component on the player that holds an enum of valid layers (e.g. foreground, background) and there's a dedicated system that

• tweaks the z
• re-parents the entity to the correct layer entity in the LDtk hierarchy

With this done, I can focus on cleanup and close the issue for "better collision and movement."

Thinking of trying to work on some combat stuff in my game tonight. I've got a "shoot" player state and action that have no associated animation yet.

Once I have an animation, even just a couple of frames, that'll be a watershed since it's the first animation that can't be interrupted by new input events. Shooting means committing.

This one features that guy from Dawn of the Dead (1978) who I've never seen in anything else ever to my knowledge. Not Ken Foree. The other SWAT guy.

Edit: I was wrong. LOL. It's a totally different guy. Not the SWAT guy at all.
