well this sucks! I can't play shooter! I press enter on the exe file, and it just sits there looking at me like I am stupid. now how fair is that? @FluidEscence you need to fix this! my day is ruened if I can't play my game! just kidding. lol. it is version 0.70 I am having issues with if that matters. I played it earlier today, but now it won't load, and I can't reboot the computer, or I will disterb the boys shows on there tv's.

The average English proficiency of Uber drivers in Vancouver is frustratingly low. I can't fault people for doing whatever job they can in such a hellishly expensive city, but it'd be nice if I could maybe communicate some basic things to the people who are tasked with making sure I get places.

@noahcarver @freedomscientific @mastoblind I can't remember in Windows 11, and I know it's a bit tricky, but I believe if you type "taskbar' into the start search bar or into settings search box, you can find the area. There should be an option under notification area as you tab through for show all icons. If I remember correctly, it's a bit tricky to ifnd. The computer I am on now is on Windows 10, so I can't look as I'm telling you this. My work computer is Windiows 11 but as it's the weekend I don't have that booted up right now.

When I met my father in-law during Christmas of 2008, I had a with BeyoCBS which was I guess the much cheaper version of NKFB Reader. At the time, I showed him how (air-quotes) 'Easy' it was for a blind person to read stuff. He handed me a bottle of wine and it took me perhaps three goes before I got anything meaningful out of it. Every year or two I try to find something else to show him. This year with the introduction of and Seeing AI doing what it does, will be interesting. Though he's not very tech-savvy himself, he's always curious to see how I do what I do as the years progress, and this year I think will likely blow his mind. I thought reading anything on a phone in 2008 was great, but it's not a patch on how fast and also much more accurate, things can be these days.

@FreakyFwoof When my dad wasalive, when I was growing up, he used to tell me that one day, I'd be able to put a newspaper on a scanner and it would read it to me. So when KNFB Reader came out, I showed it to him. First, I had that stupid pocket PC thing. Then, I showed him the app. He was so impressed. Every time someone came to the house, while I was visiting, he wanted me to show them how it worked. Were he still alive, yeah, it'd be like your father-in-law. And you know, when I brought up what he said to me as a child, about the one day... thing, he said he didn't even remember saying it.
