@slink The PROXY protocol can be used in combination with a DNS firewall/proxy like dnsdist. See our blog post for more background info https://blog.nlnetlabs.nl/somebody-told-me/.

During the talks at @rustnl 2023 it was mentioned that one of the projects relies on Ploutos for packaging. Ploutos is a GitHub reusable workflow for packaging #Rust Cargo projects as DEB & RPM packages and Docker images. It’s an #OpenSource project maintained by @nlnetlabs. 🎁 #rustlang https://github.com/NLnetLabs/ploutos

@whynothugo @rustnl We specifically designed Ploutos for our use case, relying on the GitHub ecosystem. Ploutos could be made to work with other platforms, but we don't have any experience with these. We're happy to accept contributions for this though! #OpenSource

Simdzone, our super fast #DNS zone file parser, will be maintained as a standalone project. We now took another step towards a releasing as part of NSD with support for makefile based builds. https://github.com/NLnetLabs/simdzone/issues/11

Jeroen is working on an individual #IETF Internet-Draft "Zone file format". The document aims to remove ambiguity from the master file, or zone file, format originally specified in RFC1034 and RFC1035. #DNS #OpenStandards #OpenSource
