@andreasio I get your point, but what I tend to encounter in these moments* isn't enthusiasm in the other person for someone else's potential experience, but rigid black & white thinking that only serves to drive folks away.

*specifically the folks who refuse to see anything from anyone else's perspective but their own supremacist one. not saying this is the majority of linux users, just very often a loud and very active contingent.

@andreasio There are great reasons for it, but the context here is promoting linux as a daily driver for folks that are not prepared and cannot harden it themselves.
