I got this while on a VPN, I’d assume reddit is trying to accomplish:

  • Blocking malicious attempts from anonymous Ips
  • Blocking Data Scraping
  • Forcing users to divulge their ip information for tracking purposes.

I use a VPN all the time primarily because I don’t like the idea of being a data point for profit.

An ad tracking company can determine your approximate location based on your IP address. The probability of a war between the US and China is very high as judged by the US military. Prominently over the Taiwan situation. Having service members with tiktok on their devices would be terrible for opsec. To me this confirms that we are continuing to track on that train of thought. With that line of thinking this seems to an increased likelihood. Be careful out there folks.

Wow, thanks. Yeah, I was surprised to see the comments saying the way we browse is abnormal lol… Maybe it’s just how our brain works but I know for me, I am hyper focused on what I am doing in that moment and my thoughts are always shifting but keeping my browser only with what I am actively using is just something I’ve always done. For example, right now this is the only tab I have open. :). I need to utilize containers more… Really, what I want is something that would open containers automatically for specified sites and not have to choose manually to open in.
