TOXIC SLIME

I saw this #NYT article about “toxic slime” (or rather, a type of cyanobacteria) that feeds on the phosphorus from agricultural runoff. The cyanobacteria is dangerous to touch or ingest, and even the fumes can cause lung and organ damage.

@brook I’ve noticed that when editing a post in which one has utterly forgotten to add alt text for photos (😓 it’s me. I do this almost daily 😅.), you’re not able to type in the alt text—you have to delete & re-upload your photos first. (Idk if you’re aware of that bug or can fix it though :] )

@brook heh, yeah! I’m trying out Ivory and seeing how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion of Toot too! I may check that out also and see which I prefer.
Also, sorry for the ping—I swear I know the difference between an app bug and a server bug. I guess all bets are off pre-coffee though. 😅

Seascape (2/2): the final piece. All the colors from before have been smeared and blended into an impressionistic seascape, looking down a green grassy hill with red flowers, with ocean and blue mountains in the distance.
Gather, My Children (1/2): a black panel with blobs of paint in metallic hues: turquoise, green, pearly white, purple, blue, and black. Just dots—again, no substance, other than the dots are arranged in something like a triangle.
Gather, My Children (2/2): the final painting with the same colors (and a little more gold/white added in the upper right for the moon). It shows a gnarled black tree surrounded by metallic, spiraled circles, as though multicolored will-o-the-wisps have gathered around their tree mother beneath a full orange moon.
