Binging Mr. Robot and am becoming increasingly frustrated with whole plot arcs being blown up by: it was all in Elliot's head.
I find it to be a weak tool employed by writers when they're running out of ideas. I sense it's more deliberate on this show but just as frustrating for the viewer non the less. Who shot JR recycled yet again.

@the5thColumnist @ned I understand that, but that's never even been a remote possibility. Like I said having the opportunity to join a union is a strata of privilege unto itself. Most actual working people have almost zero downtime for organizing a union and will never get an opportunity to join one. I myself have been lucky enough to have transitioned from a labor role to a professional role throughout the course of my working life. Even though time has passed, I remember what it's like.

My 15-year-old son has his first girlfriend. Unlike when I was a teen, 'hanging out' often just means talking on the phone at home.

@shoq I have a 17 year old and yes a large component of interacting of hanging with both his buddies and his girlfriend is on the phone. This is a direct result of the covid years when their only connection to each other was online. They also do get together in person a lot as well but there is a definately and strong online component in all their relationships now. I see it as a net positive though.

    Narrowly avoided a Canadian standoff today at the coffee shop. Admittedly to diffuse the situation I needed to be slightly rude and go first. She came at me with a: "No please you go first, I have plenty of time"
    I retreated behind a "Thank you so much". Clearly I had crossed swords with a master. :flag:
