New Vision Pro theater environments I'd like to see Apple announce next week:

  • Drive-in
  • Roman amphitheatre
  • TRON: Legacy Thunderdome
  • Mad Max Thunderdome
  • Bathtub
  • First class airplane cabin (with live updating view out the window)
  • University lecture hall (where the movie plays on your laptop screen while a lecturer teaches something unrelated)

I don’t know if Adobe is really bad at comms or is being deliberately deceptive, but declaring that users’ content isn’t used to train Firefly AI models doesn’t mean Adobe won’t use your content to train any non-Firefly AI model (such as Generative Fill or anything they make in the future)

Also note the change in tense. Adobe says they won’t assume ownership of your content, but only that they don’t currently use it to train Firefly AI.

I don’t know of any current AI text or image generators that in all fairness shouldn’t be labeled ‘beta preview’.

Last week I learned about windshield wiper fluid tablets. You drop one in a gallon of tapwater and a few minutes later you have a gallon of wiper fluid. I swear I don't know why everyone doesn't use these. I bought a pack of 25 tabs (makes 25 gallons) for about the cost of a gallon of wiper fluid and I just put the rest of the tube in the car so I'll have it when I need it. https://amzn.to/3w8ZRDD

A hugely unsung feature in MacOS is the ability to AirPlay your screen to another nearby Mac user's screen. When my wife and I are in the same room and she wants to show me something or have me look something over often it's easiest to just push her screen to mine for a minute. It's super convenient and low-friction.

Oops, technically it's 'Screen Mirroring', not AirPlay. We also do this to mirror onto the living room TV via Apple TV for co-shopping.
