    @KevinWho it’s a lot of trial and error, learning as you go. Start with a couple products and add in later as you get comfortable with how they work with your face. Eyeliner is a good starting place - I use liquid. And consider looking into eyebrow products too

    It's insane what happened to the cryptocurrency world the past years and it's disgusting.

    Back in the day it was something useful but nowadays it's mostly scams and earning over the backs of other people

    @stux @WillyECoyote69 I have some insight on this. Physically, it requires so much energy because, in a broad sense, you’re doing a constant brute force attack against the blockchain (prime number generator machine) with a high energy computer.
    Bitcoin mining only needs energy, even if it’s clean energy, and the carbon footprint of miners is in direct relation to the energy sources they have access to. As of 2020, about 40% of every Bitcoin is mined with renewables and more than 3/4 of miners have some access to renewables in their mining energy mix at all. As access to renewable energy grows (and as access to oil decreases), the market incentive for miners to use renewables increases.

    @Ellizamint I spend most of my day commuting on the bus or downtown at work so I have a bag-of-bags situation going on. The teal purse has my wallet stuff, then the little black bag has personal (hygiene) stuff, and then the biggest bag holds both of those bags as well as any books, laptops, accessories, etc that I want for the day.
    This lets me keep my big bag in one spot and then break out just the things I need at a time.

    I've still had a hard time 100% deciding on what to actually write, which is why there hasn't really been any Cohost lately.

    I mentioned Dark Patterns, or Pacing, and the issue is, both of those are sorta motivated by complaints I have about video games sometimes. And, I don't want to make people feel bad about video games, or burned out by video games. I wanna share cool facts and stuff, I want to create a sense of wonder and interest.

    Well, I had a nice conversation with my right-leaning coworker about pronouns and gender identities. He asked some questions and I provided some (in my opinion) reasoned answers.

    I told him that pronoun preference is no different than a military person preferring to being addressed by their rank or an MD or PhD wanting to be called Doctor.

    I explained that the human body produces all the hormones at different levels, regardless of gonads, and that every individual has different levels of hormones at different times, so there're spectrums.

    I think I've given him some stuff to think about, anyway.

    @bluestocking @rose Seattle is doing the same shit. County has our HR shelter playing an imaginary game of getting folks housing in 3 months or cutting them from the program with no alternatives. It feels like we’re constantly in survival mode trying to appease them to keep the doors open.
