Django 5.0 has been released!

🚧 4.2 has reached the end of mainstream support.
🚧 The final minor bug fix release, 4.2.8, was also issued in line with 5.0.
🚧 4.2 is an LTS release and will receive security and data loss fixes until April 2026.

⛔ 4.1 has reached the end of extended support.
⛔ 4.1 users should upgrade to 4.2 or later.

Today is a HUGE day for Foxley Talent.

We have just renewed our DSF membership for another 12 months.

I don't know if you already knew this, but we have pledged to give 5% of our annual profits to the DSF.

As non-technical members of the Django community we try to give back in as many ways as possible but this donation is our biggest ongoing commitment.

The #Django jobs boards (djangogigs.com etc) seem to have turned into ghost towns the past year: just one job recently posted across those boards the past month, a non-remote, low-salary job in Germany.

This mini-conference is one of my favourite events in the Django calendar and I can't wait to get out there and meet everyone again!

In my talk I'll give tips about how best to find work in the Django world and where/how employers can link up with great developers.
