It is sadly without the philosophy references and sci-fi (though perhaps some Australian-isms will make it alien enough for some), but it contains two detectives that approximates the Kim and Harry relationship. One in particular exhibits serious Du Bois energy....
I don’t think I would call it procedural, it doesn’t let reality and its official procedures complicate the comedy. But I’m glad you find it hilarious too.
