Just saw a video on Superfest glass, which used ion exchange to produce stronger glass. The process was developed by Corning at about the same time. While there was a ready market in DDR for #Superfest, there wasn't much market for either in the West. Superfest closed in the early 1990s, and Corning shelved their product, until smartphone manufacturers came looking for tougher screens.

How was my weekend? I went to an alt country show with an old friend, a very Trumpy dude.

A 'drop to his knee, ring on her finger' engagement happened right next to me, at the front of the stage, during the song Honky Tonk Hell.

An hour earlier, the prospective groom started talking to me on the patio at Dan's because I had a Cubs hat on.
"Holy shit! Are you a Cubs fan?"

"Are you a baseball fan?"
"No, it's just a hat that fits"
"Well, I'm from Illinois, but don't tell anyone I'm really a Cardinals fan."
