Sure, but we’re talking about being able to select a Sender from the ProtonMail UI. It would be awesome if PM could do that, and it’s a highly requested feature. That would basically be the same as having it integrated so that the PM UI could allow you to choose a reverse SL alias when sending instead of navigating to SL, creating it manually, then copying and pasting into the To field.
I think that makes a lot of sense though. I think if he only discussed the nuance and complexity that people would assume these differences would be huge, and suddenly their coffee would start emitting rays of holy light or something.
It’s very complex, and it does make a difference, but in the end it is what is considered fine tuning by a lot of people. And once you understand that, then you can let your mind zoom into those details and it will no longer be fine tuning.
I know Florida, Texas, and other counties have tried and succeeded to ban books, I wonder how that is even legal since we have the first amendment. I tried doing research on this since Huntington Beach is banning books and people were petitioning against that at the main library....
Personally, I’d think it would be much for impactful to play for whoever, then donate all the proceeds to some important cause. Telling e.g. Netanyahu no to a Foo Fighters concert isn’t going to make him change his mind about anything. But giving the concert will take money away from him and give it to something important.
Most states rely on paper bureaucracy to ensure that the state can function and provide services. But as you all probably know, bureaucracy kinda...
I couldn’t find much info doing a search - was the shooter not an immigrant and he is wrongly implying he was? Was it a different motive than what he implied?
From his wording in this clip it just sounded like he was saying “Canada is a peaceful place, so if you’re going to move here then don’t bring violence and problems from your country with you”, which seems reasonable to me. I didn’t see him say anything like “all immigrants are dangerous”.
Same thing that happened with the internet also happened with capitalism. It’s like you need some regulation to ensure competition. It could have been so awesome if we had what we were promised.
Having experienced years of people giving me things to drink promising “this is like nothing you’ve tried before”, I was happy for it to ring true for once.

Similar to OG Beauty and the Beast. Originally the Beast was kind from the start and it was all about appearance. Disney changed it so he was a fixer upper. Kinda misses the whole point.
I’m not sure if this is the right community for this question, but it says “no stupid question” so here goes. In the grand scheme of things, not paying taxes is also a pretty miniscule thing. The US funding for Israel is pretty big though. If they needed more weapons that your tax dollars would have paid for, I’d guess the tax dollars you paid in the US would go to the same place. I guess the alternative is to live in not-US and not-Israel. But either way, I think the US would just fork up more money anyway.
But the main point I’m making is, bad people will find a way to do bad things. The best way to eliminate bad people is to change their minds.
