Milly Illingworth:

"My dad pulled up YouTube when I was young and that's how it started. To stop me bowling with a bent arm and no balls, he said, 'Bowl like Jeff Thomson and you won't have that problem'."

Tazmin Brits brings up a 118 ball hundred (10x4).

The only previous woman to make an ODI century at Buffalo Park was England's Charlotte Edwards in February 2004.

Brits, who switched to cricket after injury forced her to retire from javelin, exemplifies the changing career opportunities as women's cricket has professionalised.

Brits is now the first South African woman to make two ODI centuries in their 30s.

This was the first time in an ODI, and second recorded instance in all formats, that Australia women's spin bowlers have taken 9 wickets in the same innings.

The only previous recorded time that Australia women's spinners took 9 or more in the same innings, was when Betty Wilson (4-25), Una Paisley (3-10) and Amy Hudson (3-9) shared all 10 during the 2nd Test v England at the MCG in January 1949.

Test Match Special producer Adam Mountford confirms that the BBC were unable to acquire rights to broadcast the India v England women's tour:

"We would have loved to have had commentary on Test Match Special on both the T20s & Test.

Unfortunately, despite strenuous attempts to secure the rights we have been unable to do so.

There will be text commentary via BBC Sport & updates on 5 Live."

A great shame, as TMS would have been a great enhancement to the tour.

This means that tomorrow's game will be the first England women's Test not to receive ball by ball radio coverage in the UK since the Ashes Test at Bankstown in 2011.

Further comment from Mountford confirms where the problem lay in securing the rights:

"Believe me the whole experience has been incredibly frustrating.

We are just so disappointed that we can’t bring you commentary on what is such a significant occasion."

Incredibly disappointing that the host rightsholders have been this short-sighted and intractable.

Alex Hartley on the No Balls podcast:

"The BBC are trying & trying to get the rights. I text them everyday & we're still trying.

They want the rights. We want to cover it on the radio. There's a complication at the other end. It's not England. It's not the BBC. It's elsewhere."

You might say "who cares about radio rights, when you can just watch TV?", but TNT's television coverage requires a subscription, whereas BBC TMS on the radio doesn't

Even beyond that wider reach, in my experience, radio coverage's more informal & interactive relationship with the audience can make it hugely influential in driving conversation and generating interest in the sport.

The tour will be much poorer without it.

I think you should be able to listen without a VPN to ABC radio commentary via the cricket.com.au match centre.

According to this fixture list, the next game with radio commentary will be Strikers v Thunder.
