Sometimes, briefly, I miss my days as an influencer online. That was never my plan, but as you know, the former Twitter used Algorithms. The more engagement you made, the higher your presence became. My followers have always been higher than the amount I follow. Awesome! I wrote to Johnson & Johnson once saying I had a serious problem with one Listerine item having an usual burn. A large box with all kinds of products came in the mail soon after. I appreciated that.

@Rasta good point.. I wonder how many Zellers employees were displaced and fell below poverty lines as all the Walmarts came to every town. The Cdn flagpoles used to measure me cringe. I avoided the store for around 7 yrs. Sadly, gave in 😕
You know I fell into a StayWithBell for awhile weird loyalty like a bad habit, or old-fashioned thinking. When I finally called to say I wanted to leave and, ask if they will match competitors to keep me, the answer was NO. Decades of support meaningless lol Ok lesson learned!
@Rasta Agreed 💯 I feel that way on most issues--accept some behaviours are limited by choice. We can do other things to help our communities and environments.
@Rasta aww she sounds like a such a selfless, compassionate lady. The apple doesn't fall too far fun the three then :) Hmm my mother led a LGBTQ organisation in the 80s. There weren't many things like that around. She received numerous death threats. I learned so much from her in our ltd time. She did do much for others, although she wasn't really present for me, I wouldn't change a thing. She saved lives! I wish I could do half the things she did ❤️
I was going to ask if you could boost a message somewhere near the start of this social change chat thread.. there are some interesting action ideas for some less familiar.. I'm going to continue working on it.. talking about community and neighbourly ways 👍
It's sad how ppl are targeted for supporting others. Fascists say whatever they want knowing they are safe, but compassionate people have to worry about so many extremists.
Meanwhile my ex-neighbour posted a hockey flag and signs all over his yard.. it resembled party central... major eyesore and gave me ill feelings each day.. I prefer natural scenes.. not wondering if Don Cherry is going to drop by for Coach's corner and some kind of rhetoric any minute!
@Rasta Awesome effort and determination on your part! It's vital to share our stories--help with tips & shoddy business practices. If they screwed us before, the behaviour isn't changing any time soon for others 😔 I had an issue with Direct Energy overcharging & claiming I made a verbal contract. I took it to the Ontario Energy Board whom confirmed it was me in the recording. I demanded a copy and said "No, I'm not 20-25 years old w an accent."
@Rasta hehe awesome re: a little extra funds for your efforts. In the social change main post, I'm trying unravel the bit about direct communication benefits. The article I'm using vaguely mentions writing emails and sending faxes as examples of its Direct Communication section. I felt something was missing there. Your examples gave excellent other forms of Direct Communication. Again, once I have time to write a bit there, can I link a few of your examples into posts? 👍👍
