OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

BUT THEN THERE SHE IS, THERE SHE IS AND HE DIDNT KNOW

God that movie got me in the feels

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Generally okay with, but are they generally OK with legislation protecting those individuals/recognizing them as protected under the same laws that protect for factors of sex and race?

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Both are true. The land sale did great short term benefit, terrible 5 year turnout as the fun dries up and they can’t afford rent at a lot of locations as easily. Then the seafood producer put the squeeze on em.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Supposedly in retaliation to British soldiers making themselves comfy in colonial homes when they pass by (but like, our soldiers did it too, the locals weren’t happy when ANYONE armed was coming through)

Our 3rd amendment to our constitution states: No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

There’s just never been evidence to suggest (in any meaningful way) a doctor made a decision compromising the life of the organ donor to make use in other patients, that would be medical malpractice and the first people looking to sue you after a loved one dies are the ones signing the papers giving permission.

Calling the opinion moronic may not be nice, but the idea is something I’d say is foolish. Like if you went through life thinking vaccines are some kind of conspiracy for profit, the evidence just isn’t there and there’s enough of it on the contrary that to suggest it would be foolishness.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Fuck, he’s dead already, he’ll never have to live in a bunker playing CSGO, Masturbate to bootlegged lesbian porn, or make his grandkids recite dogmatic poetry.

Here I heard he was looking forward to that

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Feel free, I think it’ll be a great game when you check back in.

I’m a big Hades 1 fan, and played that game in it’s early state as well. Hades 2’s early access feels roughly 90% or more complete, it’s missing pictures for some items (placeholders for now), some character portraits of some of the lesser-interacted-with NPCs. I think there will be another weapon because there’s a slot for it, and there’s seemingly some more boss content. Gameplay, basically at 100%

So if you’re likely to finish and not check back in, definitely wait because the game should be in pristine condition by then, with it being this polished already. Love this studio, love this game

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Won the vote to organize a union, something that has to be done in the U.S.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I think it’s more to do with that if the collective workers vote to become a union or not, and succeeds in that vote, then the owner/company must recognize them as the union and engage in negotiations as such.

If the vote of the workers fails to choose to unionize…well usually that means the people who tried to organize it get fired because there’s no union

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

We shit on ‘upselling’ all the time. If you cleaned those pages, pressed them back and touched up the spine of the book, sure. But I’d be annoyed too if there was a 500% markup on a resale of used material

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I think international pressure, like most global pushes, ultimately stumble when not receiving backing from either Russia, China, or the US.

As their biggest western partner, we have yet to lay ANY substantial pressure on Israel

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I beat [BAD GUY IN TARTARUS] and [BAD GUY ON SURFACE] when it was still really hard

I like the changes, those wins felt very cheap and circumstantial. It was super fun, but the changes definitely make it ‘feel’ better. I love this dev team for listening to the community

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I think the person was speaking to the fact that the median savings account of the average American (big average) is 84,000 www.federalreserve.gov/econres/scf/…/table/

Or that the average person under 35 has less than 18,000

www.federalreserve.gov/econres/scf/…/table/

The average American isn’t winning big with stock market gains. Crashing the stock market might wipe out my measly 15k, but I don’t own a house yet and I can’t touch that money for another 30+ years, so it can’t help me at all anyway.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

At least in the last 4 years, the guy’s sounding like a Russian plant. Somehow pinning the blame for the Ukraine invasion on NATO and saying Ukraine needed to reach out to Russia and work with them to end the conflict.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

When I go to the place this is about, thats just Red Sauce.

It’s hot, like fucking real hot. Like make you reconsider your choices if you put it on your taco too liberally, but it’s so good.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I mean, this is more about a local business being locked out from developing a new location in an area because that are has specific rules about what can be opened in that area (because Political Money) because for some reason only ships that sell sandwiches are allowed to open up in that region.

We think it’s because Panera or another major shop being buddy buddy with legislators

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Own both

Ease of use - Ally Graphical capabilities - Ally Battery usage - Steam Deck (because less graphical capabilities) Gaming platforms/launcher availability - Ally Customization and layout - Steam Deck, and it ain’t even close.

I love my Ally and my wife loves my Steam Deck. But the Ally is better in all the ways above. I will say the Steam deck is easier to open up for repairs, but not by much

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I was just refuting the bit that it’s not better off the paper. By all the measures above, it’s not “meh” better. The steamdeck could drastically improve by taking some notes in what the Ally does well.

I agree though that Asus isn’t a company I choose to do business with first, they just had the best product for what I was looking for.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Disagree. Top 20 Thanksgiving Family Clapbacks of 2023 is probably a really fun article to read

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Lol you had me for a moment and then you got to the end. Good trolling

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I mean, definitely some anger issues. But normally when they’re kids, the anger issues (MOST of the time) come from the parents’ parenting.

Like unless you’re chemically imbalanced (normally runs in the family, so people should know if they carry it, or have some other existing condition, that level of anger is a Nurture and not a Nature.

My dad sent me out for headlight fluid and VW-20 elbow grease if you can’t tell.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

For me, this is one of the episodes they talk about when they say they worry they go too far parody that they lose the ‘tone’. I still like the episode, but it’s because Dennis and Frank bits fucking kill me. The way he holds this cat, man!

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I just started diving into the space from a localized point yesterday. And I can say that there are definitely problems with garbage spewing, but some of these models are getting really really good at really specific things.

A biomedical model I saw seemed lauded for it’s consistency in pulling relevant data from medical notes for the sake of patient care instructions, important risk factors, fall risk level etc.

So although I agree they’re still giving well phrased garbage for big general cases (and GPT4 seems to be much more ‘savvy’), the specific use cases are getting much better and I’m stoked to see how that continues.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

I agree in that it doesn’t need to be required, but I think you’re leaving money on the table and intentionally limiting who can experience the art you’re trying to share with the world.

You don’t HAVE to include more than the basic colorblind option and maybe some extra visual cues, but games that go farther and allow more people to enjoy their product are better products for it.

Souls games are great. I don’t want to ‘get gud’ so I haven’t bought one ever, and with no difficulty drop I probably never will. I don’t have time for that. It’s not a bad game because they don’t have features to make it more accessible to me, but it COULD be a better game if they did.

OneOrTheOtherDontAskMe,

Are you okay? You seem a little confused, and it’s coming our in your comments
