I know I say that every year but Season 4 is likely gonna be the last season for WolfTV

This stuff takes way too much time to do by myself and I kinda want to do something else, with a less strict schedule and lower production value. Probably just chill streaming with Let’s Plays and tourney restreams and stuff, maybe even just create more content in French. Besides I’m at a point where I’m confident enough in my commentary skills to actually move on and try bugging other people to commentate in their tourneys, though granted having latched onto Street Fighter 6 also helps all things considered.

There’s probably more I could do for smaller communities and promoting fighting games that you may not be too aware of, but I suck at actually communicating and marketing, and that’s the part which simultaneously ends up being the most important to actually get people interested, and the one I like the least in this whole shtick. Maybe there will be more opportunities later but we’ll see.

For now though I want to focus on making sure the next few events are the best they can be, specifically Battle for the Den in this case, and maybe try to set up the new From Pack to Pack format as a last hurrah. And then, after that… We’ll see I guess…

Emulating current-gen platforms does feel a bit skeevy to me, I wouldn’t personally ever use yuzu. But I recognize how important it is that these emulators are worked on now so that we have them in the future once platforms are dead, storefronts are gone, and titles are at risk of becoming lost media. In fact, it’s possible that waiting until the platform is dead before developing anything may be too late.

Of course nothing can truly be taken off the internet, we have mirrors, but this sets a chilling effect for the future of emulator development. 50 years from now, will we have any good way of playing Switch 2 games?
