I’m inclined to agree. People experiencing gender dysphoria deserve our love and respect, in the same way a person with low self-esteem or anxiety or an eating disorder deserves our love, support and respect.
For example, anorexia is an eating disorder where an individual has a hypersensitivity to the perception of their body, specifically its size weight. Weight bias is another topic for another time, but suffice to say that society has people convinced that they have much more control over their weight than they actually do. People naturally come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and that’s a good thing! Regardless, some individuals who struggle with anorexia believe that they are “too fat” and will try to limit their food intake in order to lose weight, often to an unhealthy degree.
I’m hoping that the next big social movement is a body acceptance and appreciation kind. The human body is an amazing thing. I hope we can learn how to better help people who experience gender dysphoria in the future and empower individuals struggling with their relationship with their body.
It really is. It’s super clean and I love the gestures. I just wish I could put some widgets or shortcuts on the home screen, it feels kind of empty to me. Definitely at the top of my list.
I love Lawnchair! I’ve been using it for a while and if I don’t find another alternative launcher, I’ll probably just return to it. Or stock pixel launcher.
Wow, Nova can do all that?? I had no idea, that’s super cool! I’ve been avoiding Nova since I learned that it’d been bought by some data company, classic internet rumour, but I might have to give that a shot!
Thanks for the tip! I think I’ll give KISS launcher a second try, because the first time I set it up, I found it annoying. Probably because I only used it for 5 minutes and then dropped it. :)
I agree. One thing I like about reddit (and why I keep it around in my Google searches) is the older content, questions people have asked a long time ago and stuff like that. Kind of like stack overflow, but some of the stuff is on reddit, you know?
I also love the vibe. I really hope that all the angry argument redditors just stay there and argue while we can enjoy each others’ company and discuss things civilly!
