@enobacon I'm far from an expert at this stuff. But fwiw this rear photo just looks like it's fairly low resolution. Could be settings on the camera if they have any options? Or just a lower-quality camera in general.

@seachanger I agree with the lehal analysis in the article (and even more so with the urgency behind it). The problem is with enforcement of those laws cited. It's not up to Biden or his administration.

Recusal is either done when the judge/justice takes the initiative to recuse themselves or when a party before them makes a motion to request recusal. If that motion is denied by the judge, then it can be appealed to a higher court.
But there's no higher court than the USSC. 1/2

I'm thinking air-to-air heat pumps are not actually a great answer to the heating problem. Blowing around warm air isn't terribly comfortable to start with, and even if you have an inverter, you can't lower the outlet temperature so much or it feels chilly, so it has to run hotter in cycles, which means short-cycling, which means not running when you have free power from solar & also needing higher currents (for the hotter cycles) while running when you don't have solar, and the source is cold

A recent new hire at work messaged me earlier this week on Teams to ask "Do you use Teams?" I replied yes. But based on the times that they've messaged me since then (lunch hour when I show as "unavailable" as well as after hours) I think what they MEANT to ask was "are you instantly available at all hours?" No. No I am not.

I'm obviously not the arbiter on what is or isn't antisemitic hate speech. But I keep seeing vague claims that the protests have been making antisemitic chants, etc. I can't find any details on these supposed chants.

Clearly antisemitism is bad and wrong. But is this just one of those cases where anti-zionism is being mislabeled? Or is there seriously a problem with antisemitism in these protests?

Legal question: If a private college calls out cops to get rid of protesters and the major intervenes and tells the cops to stand down, would the school have a cause of action against the city if something happens?

@BlackAzizAnansi yeah, but you'd have to have a cause of action to sue the police. Generally suits against police involve 42 USC §1983 which allows you to sue cops for a violation of a constitutional right (if memory serves, it's been more than a decade since I practiced law). Otherwise most cop behavior/action is protected by "qualified immunity" against civil suits.
