It’s insane how we’ve relied far too long on a sort of gentleman’s agreement around presidents and congress and all. I don’t think the founding fathers could have EVER anticipated the amount of corruption that could occur.

If the orange turd did one thing, it’s to lay bare how truly exploitable and corruptible the ruling class can be. I mean, we all know it was bad but he truly showed by bad (and open) it could get. And how nothing whatsoever would be done about it…

Conservatives lose pretty much all the time when voting is fair. That’s why they work as hard as possible make voting harder and create districts where they are guaranteed to win.

If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. The will reject democracy.

I had that happen for a while too, somehow it thought I was using it too much or something that wasn’t for personal use. You can request a whitelist if you are so inclined. The process was pretty simple: anydesk.com/en/whitelist-request

After I did that I haven’t seen that pop back up in over a year.

He’s been a criminal for all of his adult life. He’s just rich and white and flew under the radar enough. If he had just fucked off into retirement on some island rather than becoming president (and committing more crimes) you’d probably never hear about him anymore and he could have lived in peace.

    The article is light on details around the actual cash itself but I have to wonder if it wasn’t counterfeit. If you are, without any type of conversation, randomly trying to pay off jurors that seems like a lot of real money to just blindly throw at the problem and hope it goes away.

    Even $5k or $10k could be a life-changing amount of money for some people, seems like it would be easier/cheaper to start there (if it’s real) then promise more on a specific outcome.

    It’s not like your average person would be able to tell a real from a fake bill…

    How in the fuck does someone even spend that much a month?! Even in some crazy scenario where me and my wife eat out every single night I can only get to like $2300 monthly for restaurants. Throw another $5k (high) for mortgage, grocery, bills, etc doesn’t put me anywhere close. Hell, if you stayed at a hotel for 30 nights at even $200 a night that’s only $6k. Lots of hookers and drugs?
