@rombo Its first flight between London and Dubai. Not a surprise.

Worth remembering this extraordinary documentary - 'From with Cash' - about , the world's heart of Russian criminal money laundering operations.

British estates agents, solicitors and QCs colluding and actively helping Russian and criminals purchase properties, driving up prices, and keeping out people from their British capital.

The astonishing scale of these schemes the government encourages.

So, now that Putin disbanded the Wagner Group and killed their leadership, the UK conservatives decided to declare the group a terrorist organisation. Good'un... The timing looks as if it could have been designed by Putin himself.

Suella Braverman - as always - too obsessed with persecuting vulnerable migrants and too weak to deal with big fish like russian oligarchs in the UK and terrorists like Wagner.

'Roman Abramovich, the most secretive of oligarchs'.

Having become extremely wealthy, the businessman developed a taste for collecting art. But he also financed creative artists in Russia, even those highly critical of Putin's rule.

At the beginning of Russia's offensive against Ukraine last year there was a lot of talk about sanctions and, in particular, pursuing the oligarchs.

I'm not noticing anything at all about this in the news recently. Nothing, zip, nada.

I can only presume that the oligarchs have been mildly inconvenienced & are continuing to live their lives of debauchery without further hassle?

A little digging shows that the continue to live a life of luxury in London, buying holiday homes in Thailand and freely travelling between the two in their private jets.

Meanwhile Russia continues to do big exports to the West (gemstones & precious metals) and big Western companies still operate in Russia (, , , , etc.)

Roman Abramovich's life as a gentleman in Londongrad.

In the 2000s, the Russian businessman settled in the British capital. By buying Chelsea FC and forging friendships among the political and financial elite, he became an almost normal member of the British elite.

How many russian oligarchs arrested in Britain?
Zero.

How many peaceful protesters arrested in Britain?
Thousands.

The Tories' and Met's priorities are out there for everyone to see.
