I published a brief article on Reddit explaining the technical reasons why any data transfer is always slower through a point-to-point VPN than without one. Someone replied that they thought I copied and pasted from ChatGPT, and I don’t know whether to be insulted or flattered.
I replied that after teaching network courses at three colleges for seventeen years, I tend to formulate answers like that as outlines. It’s easier for the reader to follow along and organize the progression of information.
