@macberg You know, I don't like so much the idea that everything I paste into a service like DeepL is used to train #commercial and #closedsource#software (wish it was #opensource). On the other hand, it has become quite good, and although I rarely use all the suggestions, it helps me to improve my English (I think). 🙃️
@amadeus I absolutely agree. There are some things like gpt4all that are open source that you run on your own hardware, but then you have to get into that whole thing and figure out how it works and all that. And I don't know how good it is. I do think there will be more options available in the future though.
@amadeus I didn't know about that one, I'll bookmark it, thanks. The convenience factor will increase I'm sure. I'm actually surprised that there are FOSS alternatives available that are any good at all, this early on.
@macberg I also just recently learned about it and it is not bad. Maybe not as quick and convenient as DeepL Write, but I am very happy that it exists.
