Ich beobachte gerade (eigentlich seit ein paar Tagen) wieder träges Verhalten bei #Libranet. Scheinbar werden meine Posts nicht ausgeliefert, was mein Ziel #Weltherrschaft ausbremst!
did we recently have a software update to Nextcloud? Last week or so for some reason the Passwords app on my account is only showing 1 password saved (a website I visit very rarely) rather than the hundreds I expect. This happened once before and after a few days it magically fixed itself, but that hasn't happened this time.
The most recent backup I have is from November, so it has most everything in it save a few I made more recently, so I can re-load that, but if there's something on the serve to get EVERYTHING back, that would be better.
The last several nights about this time I'm getting DNS errors when accessing libranet.de. It works fine during the day(USA) but in the evening it starts up again. I tried switching from Google DNS to OpenDNS with no change in performance, but I don't have errors when I use Tor browser. I suspect it's no problem with the libranet.de , but I have no idea what it could be. @support
@fu Hmm. Didn't change anything in the DNS records lately and also don' have any issues locally. DNS requests are usually cached on the client and on most DNS servers up the authoritative chain.
Maybe one DNS server involved doesn't resolve the requests as expected.
@alfred word. I did clear my default browser cache and it seems to be working for now. Still weird, especially with it working in the morning but not the evening. I work from home some I'm on the same network all day. I wonder if it could be a time-out thing with there being more users on the local network when my neighbors are streaming t.v. during primetime.
For about the last 6 weeks, I've been unable to access my Network tab. I can see what I post, but nothing else. I can only ccess my account by letting the login button try to load the Network tab for ~30 seconds and then bypassing the page by clicking one of the links (such as Libranet Support) at the bottom of the page and clicking "Home" (or any tab other than Network).
I'm running up-to-date Firefox on (64-bit) Win11. Libranet.de is excepted from all script/cookie blocking. Any idea what could be causing this, or how to address it? It worked fine when I first signed up.
@alfred@fu When a translation string has already been translated, we avoid correcting the typo at the source because it would force translators to translate it again in their language. Instead we just fix the typo in the American English and British English languages in Transifex.
@alfred@fu And I've just done it, if @tobias exports the translations before the release the typo fix will be included in both American and British translations.
Hi! I was browsing my account's settings and i found "Remote servers" which contains a list of server ignored by me. I was wondering how to add those, since i can't find an option anywhere. Or is it a WIP feature? Thanks in advance!
@silkevicious The feature to block servers as a user is hidden in the more ••• menu of each post. But until now it's only accessible when using a desktop browser. On mobile these menu entries are still missing. So yeah, WIP. 🙂
Hello
there is an issue with two settings for the user's 'full name' and 'display name'. Maybe you are affected when you have set different 'names' in those fields.
The 'display name' is a leftover from the time when Friendica had the possibility to set multiple profiles with different names for defined audiences. When you see the wrong name for your account in the user interface - e.g. the network stream - you should check your 'full name' in settings -> account -> basic information and set it to the correct name you want to use.
There is currently a pull request that will clean this up. As far as I understand the 'display name' will be used to overwrite the 'full name' and then the field 'display name' will disappear or not used anymore. I think that's the best solution for this situation. But maybe you should check if the correct name is still used after the change has been merged on libranet.de.
I'm uncertain if it is a bug, the feature has been disabled by the instance admin, or because the documentation is wrong (which if so, I'd be happy to update once I learn how it actually works).
@petrescatraian I started with my small test node. The impact won't be very big because the node is only aware of less than 100 Lemmy instances and less than a couple of thousand Lemmy users. All in all Lemmy has more than 1000 instances and more than 1.7 million users.
Danke herzlich!
