I love how Go and Rust programs just compile down to a single binary you can do whatever you want with. Sprinkle a systemd definition and voila, you’ve got yourself a long running service with superpowers 🥰.
@leoncowle I was never there for the drama lol, why is systemd controversial? It comes with Ubuntu … I use it as a “bare metal docker” replacement and scheduling stuffs 😅
@konstantin LOL. Systemd hatred merely dates someone (like me) as an “oldie”. Someone who grew up with systemV and who saw (sees?) systemd as overly complex and where the added complexity struggles to justify the added value. Someone who hugs simple init/rc scripts and refuses to let go. 😂😂😂
