A #garden catch-up day today, because we've been having slightly warmer weather and some hazy sun. Needless to say, the blossom is out everywhere and the birdsong is getting extremely loud and persistent. Left to right: the mystery (possibly maple) seedling that I relocated from the local park has now started to grow its first set of next-stage leaves. The Ölands wheat in the bucket is growing like mad after 28 days and should yield an impressive crop if I can figure out the feeding regime. Then we have a selection of flowers in the hanging basket, including the hyacinth I took a flyer on - past the planting date and too cold to plant out, officially. Finally the very welcome start to our mini meadow (the "field" is 4m X 2m) which is also the sunniest spot in the garden. Oh, and the sunflowers will be going in this weekend too... #gardening#wheatberries#wheat
